Even though refrigerants can somehow damage the environment, but as the warming trend of the earth, people nearly couldn’t do without gas for cooling.

Gas R22, R12 and R11 are the main cooling gas used before 21^st Century, but with the tread of environment protection, specialist in refrigeration area were managed to produce other gases which would do less harm to the environment. Thus, mixed gas R404a, R410a, R407c and R406a come to the chemical district, along with the forbidden of R22, R12 and R11.

Gas R600a and R290 are belong to the hydrocarbon refrigerant which have no effect to the environment, so they are still wildly used until now.

The use of gas is mainly in air-conditioning systems for buildings, in sport and leisure facilities, in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry, in the automotive industry and above all in the food industry (production, storage, retailing). New applications are opening up for non-halogenated refrigerants; for example, in vehicle air-conditioning.
